Encoders
Our encoders are rotary encoders that can generate an output voltage, the intensity of which varies in proportion to the number of revolutions applied to its axis: the more revolutions, the higher the voltage. Encoders are intended for use in particularly precise apparatuses, where they transform an angular movement into a series of digital electrical impulses. These impulses, combined with racks and worm screws, can be used to control linear and angular movements. Encoders are divided into the category of absolute encoders and incremental encoders. The former are equipped with a rotating disc with alternating transparent and opaque zones. Incremental encoders, on the other hand, are characterised by a specific position for counting the number of pulses with respect to the zero track. The difference with absolute encoders lies precisely in the positioning, since the allocation of incremental encoders is specifically designed not to lose the current position when the power is removed.
